TRANSITIONS

Everyone knows that change is hard. Change can be scary. Change can be confusing. Early childhood transitions, to and from schools, homes and childcares easily fall under BIG change. In our community we have developed a team to "change" these transitional changes! Our job is to ease any feelings that one may be experiencing and ensure a smooth, successful transition between all Early Childhood Programs and build positive and open communication between programs, teachers, families and children. 

Research shows effective transition services include practices that are:

Centered on children and families

Individualized to address children’s and families’ diverse backgrounds, development, strengths, interests and needs

3.

Dedicated to promoting continuity within and across early education settings

4.

Focused on creating and maintaining collaboration between families, programs, and early education partners
