Growing up on a hobby farm in Minnesota, Katie found a love for the outdoors at a young age. After graduating college in 2015 (with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management), Katie moved to Colorado to begin working with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center as a summer intern. Just like everyone else who comes to Summit County for "just a season" - she decided to stay. In her spare time, Katie practices and teaches yoga, love to do art and go for trail runs, camping and foraging, amongst other hobbies. Katie's previous work as a children's ski instructor, preschool teacher, parent educator and Early Intervention program manage have prepared her to succeed in this position.
